Terms of Service

This website, operated by Georgian Insurance Solutions LLC (ID 405861152), lets you buy compulsory travel insurance for visitors to Georgia online. The insurance is underwritten by JSC Insurance Company Unison (ID/VAT 404393152) under Government of Georgia Decree №602. We act as an authorised intermediary.

You must be able to enter into a binding contract and provide accurate details for every insured traveller. The cover applies for the travel dates and travellers you select at checkout.

Prices are shown before payment and calculated on the server from the travel dates, number of travellers and selected currency. The displayed total is the amount you will be charged.

Payment is taken securely through our payment provider in the currency you select. Your policy is issued only after a successful payment.

After payment, your policy is registered with the underwriter and the policy document is sent to the email address(es) you provide. The official document delivered to you is the binding policy.

In accordance with Georgian legislation, mandatory travel insurance policies are binding upon activation.

• Before the policy effective date: you may request a full cancellation prior to the policy start date and time, provided the policy has not been activated or used for immigration compliance. Refunds are processed after deducting an administrative and processing fee of 25 USD, or the equivalent in GEL.
• On or after the policy effective date: once the coverage period has commenced, the policy is considered actively in force and risk coverage is continuously provided.

Mandatory travel insurance serves as an official legal requirement for entry into Georgia.

• Border crossing restriction: if you have already crossed the border into Georgia using this policy, the service is classified as fully utilised for legal entry compliance. The policy cannot be cancelled and no refund will be issued.
• Proof of non-entry: if a cancellation request is submitted on or after the policy start date, you must provide official verification of non-entry, for example a full copy or scan of the passport pages showing no entry stamp for the coverage period, or an official border control certificate. Without this proof the request is rejected.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by email to info@georgianinsurance.ge.

Please be advised that remaining inside Georgia without active mandatory insurance violates local regulations and may result in fines upon departure.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide. Incorrect data (e.g. name or passport number) may affect the validity of your policy. Please check everything before paying.

We provide the website and intermediary service. The insurance cover, claims and exclusions are governed by the underwriter’s binding policy. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

These terms are governed by the law of Georgia. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Georgia.
